2. Getting Started! What on Earth Do I Need!!
If you are new to all this then Getting Started can be quite a daunting task! You may think that it is impossible for you to make something like you have seen in my Gallery for example but yes - you CAN do it! As you go along you will create your own style and get better and better and before you know it - Scrapbooking will be second nature to you! You may have no idea what an Album looks like or what you do with it, or how you even make a start - which is why I have put this little guide together which will hopefully help you every step of the way! ( if you need any help then PLEASE do not hesitate to email me )
If you are planning a Disney Scrapbook before your holiday - then you are one step ahead in the game as you may find it useful to gather some bits and pieces together before your trip so that you have what you need for when you return! ( see also step 3!)
If you are planning your Disney Scrapbook when you return - then dont panic! You have plenty of time - and you don't need to rush into it head first!
Here are a few basic items that you may find helpful for starting out:
A variety of Cardstock / papers - just a few basic colours to help you get started - become familiar with, I would find it more useful to choose paper / cardstock and embellishments usually after I have been on my trip and have the photos in front of me to have an idea of what I may use for each layout according to what is going to be on them, i.e Mickey Mouse, Disney Princess, Parades etc
Adhesive - I find double sided sticky tape the easiest to use
A 12"x12" album ready to put your finished layouts in and possible extra page protectors.
A sharp pair of scissors
A paper trimmer or guillotine
A variety of embellishments, stickers, ribbons, flowers, brads etc ( again if you have been on your trip then you will have more of an idea of what you are looking for!)
A pen for the journalling / spare paper to try it out on!
A corner punch if you like your photos to have rounded edges
